Tonight it’s as if the day hadn’t happened. Phil Mickelson shirt, he humor is lively, her dire need for the company of Harry Potter is exercised. As drained as I feel right now I know it is a by-product of hard emotional discussions that had to happen. So, yes, I tried a lot harder today and paid attention a lot more and so the day is ending stronger, brighter, richer, lovelier than it began. A friend shared this, and I’ve read it several times. I don’t even have children but this resonates with me. Many of us, myself included, are our own worst critics.
