When my children were younger and in many activities, once I learned the ropes, I always took it upon myself to be the welcoming committee. Reading this post, if I prevented one new family from feeling this way, I’m glad I did. I can only imagine the number of families you gave a sigh of relief to as you took them under your wing. I am comforted knowing you are a part of my world. Sad to say I’ve come to terms that I am here for my children, not a social life.
