It’s hard to know the right things to say or do, even more so when presented with an unfamiliar situation. Autism elephant it’s ok to be a little different shirt in a different sort of club; but not the kind with techno music, fruity drinks, and questionable decision making skills. The kind with medical binders, anxiety, and emergency meltdown snacks stashed periodically throughout the house. People have said and done a lot of things in regards to Audrey, some amazing and some. Not so much. So in the spirit of giving I’ve put together a little cheat sheet of dos and don’ts in regards to Autism families. Also, don’t avoid eye contact.
