Tequila of the 60 s and 70s is not what tequila is today. Before CRT regulation, tequila was considered by many to be either swill or peasant’s drink. That has change A LOT in 50 years, as you will never find me or many of my friends personally shooting tequila..only sipping neat or in fantastic fresh ingredient cocktails.
